01How do I connect my WhatsApp number?
In the KhataPilot sidebar, tap the link icon (Connections) and choose WhatsApp to get a connection code. Scan the QR code and tap Send in WhatsApp. The code expires after 10 minutes, so make a new one if it runs out.
02What can I send?
Bills and receipts as a photo or PDF, expenses as a short message like "500 spent on fuel today", and questions about your books. Other files, such as voice notes, aren't read.
03Does a WhatsApp bill go straight into my books?
No. AI reads a new bill and saves it as a draft for you to review and publish. If it belongs to an entry you already have, such as a receipt for a booked bill, it's attached there and can mark it paid. Expenses from the chat go to approvals first.
04Who on my team can use it?
Anyone on your team who signs in to KhataPilot can link their own number. Owners and admins see every connection in Settings and can revoke one at any time. Each member only sees the actions their role allows.
05Does WhatsApp get access to my books?
No. You message KhataPilot's business number. Copilot answers from your books without changing them, and a bill or expense sent from the chat is only saved once you confirm it in KhataPilot.
06Can my whole team use it?
Each member links their own number from their profile. Numbers stay masked in KhataPilot, and an owner or admin can revoke a number at any time - access stops at once.
