Ask your books. Get the numbers back.

What's overdue? What did we spend on software last month? Copilot looks it up in your books and answers with the entries behind the number - on the web or WhatsApp, never changing anything.

WHAT IT ANSWERS

Dues, spend, vendors, invoices, claims. Straight from your books.

Copilot has a fixed set of things it can look up - all of them figures already in your books. It does not guess, estimate or browse.

  • Dues and overdue bills

What you owe vendors, what customers owe on your invoices, and which are past their due date.

  • Spend, broken down

Totals by month, category or vendor for whichever dates you ask about.

  • Any vendor or customer

Everything booked with a vendor or customer, what you still owe them and their last entry.

  • Invoices on request

Find sales or purchase invoices by number, party or date and open them in the chat.

  • Expense claims

What's awaiting approval, what's approved and how much is still to reimburse.

  • Statement progress

Which statement periods are in for each bank and card account, with matched and unmatched line counts.

SEE IT IN ACTION

Three questions. Three answers from your ledger.

HOW IT WORKS

From a question to the entries behind the answer.

  1. Type a question in plain words - what's overdue, what we spent, what we owe someone - or pick a suggestion.

    Ask Copilot
    • Which bills are overdue?You
    • Or pick a suggestion: last month's spend · what we owe Mehta Steel · June's statement

Plain words. No reports to find.

  2. Checking the books… Reading data… Data received. Every answer starts with a lookup in your own figures.

    Checking the books…
    • Reading data…outstanding · payables
    • Data receivedDone

Every answer starts with a lookup in your books.

  3. The answer comes with the entries that make it up, one per line with its amount - and each opens the record.

    3 overdue bills
    • Mehta Steel · was due 20 Jul₹1,72,000
    • Blue Dart Express · was due 18 Jul₹31,860
    • Taj Deccan · was due 12 Jul₹4,850
    • Total overdue₹2,08,710

The entries behind the number, one per line.

  4. Ask by category, vendor, customer or month and the figures come back grouped that way, with a total.

    Last month's spend by category
    • Materials₹3,28,400
    • Software₹1,21,466
    • Rent₹85,800
    • Travel₹42,610
    • Meals₹11,510
    • Total spend · Jun 2026₹5,89,786

    ledger_aggregate · by category · Jun 2026

  5. The same Copilot answers from your phone. Replies stay short - tap Continue for the rest - and stay read-only.

    On WhatsApp too
    • How much did we spend on fuel this month? You
    • Fuel this month₹6,840
    • Answered from your books · read-only

Same Copilot, same books, from your phone.

WHAT'S OVERDUE?

Ask once. See every bill behind the total.

Copilot runs the lookup it would take you three screens to do - 'Checking the books… Reading data… Data received' - and replies with the total and the list: which bill, which vendor, how late. Tap any line to open the entry.

  • The tool it used is shown under the answer
  • One line per entry, amount on the right
  • Each line opens the bill it came from

READ-ONLY BY DESIGN

It answers. It doesn't act.

Ask Copilot to mark a bill paid and it will tell you where to do that - it cannot edit, create or delete an entry. Every figure it gives is looked up at the moment you ask, so what you see is what your books say right now.

  • No edits, no new entries, no deletions - ever
  • Figures looked up live, not remembered from last time
  • Replies stay short; longer ones continue on tap

BREAKDOWNS, PARTIES, STATEMENTS

By category. By vendor. By statement.

Spend comes back grouped the way you asked - by category, by vendor or customer, by month. Ask about a party and you get what you owe or are owed and when it was last settled. Ask about a statement and you get how far it is matched.

READ-ONLY BY DESIGN

It reads your books. It never changes them.

Copilot can look things up, but it can't add or edit entries, mark bills paid or approve claims. Ask it to, and it points you to the right page in KhataPilot.

  • Figures are looked up in your books before Copilot answers
  • Spend totals leave out unreviewed drafts unless you ask for them
  • Amounts in different currencies are never added together
  • Payroll answers only reach people allowed to see payroll

GOOD QUESTIONS. CLEAR ANSWERS.

About
Copilot.

A few things to know before you start.

See all features
Can Copilot change anything in my books?

No. Copilot only reads. It can't add or edit entries, mark bills paid or approve claims. If you ask it to, it explains where to do that in KhataPilot instead.

Can I ask Copilot on WhatsApp?

Yes. From your linked WhatsApp number, type a question to KhataPilot and Copilot replies in the chat. It can also send you the original PDF or image of an invoice saved in your records.

How far can I trust the answers?

Copilot fetches figures from your books before it answers, rather than estimating. It's still AI, so check important numbers against the entries before you act on them.

Who in my team can use Copilot?

Owners, admins, staff and your CA in their own portal. Each person only gets answers their access allows - payroll, for example, stays hidden from staff.

What can I ask Copilot?

What is due and overdue, spend by category, vendor or customer, what you owe or are owed by anyone, which invoices are pending, the state of expense claims, and how far a bank statement has been matched. Anything it answers comes from the figures in your books.

Can Copilot change anything?

No. Copilot is read-only by design. Ask it to mark a bill paid and it tells you where to do that - it never edits, creates or deletes an entry itself.
